Meet Bret Bodlovic, a Montana-based wordsmith who turns ordinary moments into extraordinary adventures. Born under Missouri skies but cosmically relocated to the wild edges of the Blackfoot River, Bret’s imagination was shaped by equal parts whitewater rapids and ‘what if’ moments.
His journey reads like one of his plots – unpredictable with a dash of divine comedy. From diving for baseballs on dusty diamonds to diving into criminal minds (courtesy of a Criminology degree from the University of Montana), each experience has added another layer to his storytelling arsenal.
While he’s been hoarding ideas in notebooks like a literary squirrel storing nuts for winter, it wasn’t until fatherhood hit that his creativity kicked into overdrive. Apparently, sleep deprivation and dad jokes are excellent fuel for the imagination. Who knew?
These days, you’ll find him crafting tales where reality does cartwheels and everyday moments take unexpected detours into ‘wait… what just happened?’ territory. His stories are like your favorite comfort food – if that comfort food occasionally winked at you and changed the laws of physics.
When not writing, Bret can be found exploring Montana’s vast wilderness and Nevada’s otherworldly landscapes – because nothing sparks supernatural storytelling quite like splitting your time between big sky country and desert mysteries. (Note: Any resemblance to characters in his stories is purely coincidental… mostly.)
